3. I learned a lot about Dresden after I graduated from college and the wind ensemble that I was in

performed this musical piece.



However, the wind ensemble at my university played the piece as "performance art" with red lighting during the portion where the shelling is occurring and then suddenly cutting to black (no lighting) when the big bomb is dropped near the end. It was an emotionally moving performance that gripped the entire audience.
