I've been a pagan since my daughter, now 33, was a year old. When she was in elementary school, I had to go to her PUBLIC school and demand that they stop making her pray at the on-site daycare she attended after school. This was in the liberal SF Bay Area!

To their credit, the daycare people were very respectful and even asked me to provide more info so they could understand my beliefs, and were genuinely interested and engaged. My daughter was already by that time and still is an atheist, by the way.
