Nude or semi-nude dress works great on established nude beaches. But on a tv broadcast of millions includng all those girls who will want to emulate her--may as well just throw them over to all those drooling sexual predators. I hardly think this is the message of wanting to use your incredible platform to try to protect these girls. Maybe look up the word paradoxical because this is a prime example.
That she is a great proponent of the LGBTQ community is great. I argue she is the opposite for young at-risk females from the standpoint of sexual predators online and in real life.
Yes, Madonna and Lady Gaga have dressed incredibly provocatively as well, but neither appeared bare-breasted (the pasties--yes THAT is the term) is the only reason she did not face LAPD because they have strict city-wide (civil) ordinances that would have her fined major $$$. The pasties got her a pass on a technicality. Again, go to the nude beach. Let TMZ do a photo of you. But know your audience and don't PRETEND to give a damn about protecting young at-risk girls who will emulate you by doing this on an international tv broadcast and then hide behind LGBTQ as the reason why that dress could not possibly have been "sexual"... Or some ridiculous and truly insulting suggestion that it was FEMINIST. If you, as a man are making that argument, you need to get a damned clue. And please don't have daughters!
BTW, there is a world of difference between totally or semi-nudity and a Burkha so kindly don't pull that silliness. It is not a dichotomy such that rejecting the former in inappropriate settings automatically means I (or anyone else) is promoting an unreasonable (or prudish) alternative.
