In reply to the discussion: Supreme Court agrees to decide if Trump may end birthright citizenship [View all]SunSeeker
(57,405 posts)39. You started this be saying no dissents were noted. What was your point other than to suggest they flipped?
You cryptically suggested you found that "interesting."
You ignore that the vote on the granting of a writ of certiorari is internal and generally not disclosed to the public. The Court's order list for December 5, 2025, simply announced that the petition for a writ of certiorari before judgment was granted in the case Trump v. Barbara, without specifying the vote count or which justices voted against the grant.
Your post suggested they all voted in favor and that there were no dissents. There is no evidence to support that. Spare me the "wow just wow" pearl clutching. Yes, facts matter.

OP
SCOTUS already granted certiorari months ago for the injunction issue (with vociferous dissents from the 3 liberals).

It is you who is mistaken. There is absolutely no basis to suggest that Sotomayor, Jackson and Kagan have flipped.

Sotomayor, Jackson and Kagan have not flipped. You are dead wrong in suggesting they did. nt

I didn't lie about when cert was granted. I'm not the one telling lies here. nt

No I didn't. As I said, the prior ruling, with 3 dissents, involved the exact same Executive Order.

You said certiorari had been granted. It hadn't and you have to know that by now. Not even the same case.

The cases are all about the same birthright citizenship EO. It's all a bullshit game by the SCOTUS conservatives.
