During the Beer Hall Putsch, four police officers died. A plaque honoring them wasn’t put up until after WW2. Hitler made that day a national holiday to honor the 14 members of his group that died.

No plaque has yet gone up for the police that died on January sixth, and I doubt that any will in the next four years. Trump has talked about making that day a holiday.

There is one key difference between these two events: Hitler went jail.
