Let us not forget that is not only trump ego weak, but republicans as a party are fully dedicated to caress trump's ego, Newsom/California doesn't need all those corrupt SOBs against them, which makes it a silly fight to force flags to be 1/2 staff. Better ways to honor President Carter, and he can always place the flags 1.2 staff after the inauguration.
