. . . we cannot use DirectFile because, when the IRS announced DirectFile would be available in Virginia, our Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin said "No way" and banned it from Virginia.

Youngkin cited “substantial legal questions about the new IRS program” raised by Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares as a reason Virginia would not implement Direct File.
