In reply to the discussion: JUST IN: MSNBC Loses Almost HALF Its Viewers in Stunning Post-Election Ratings Report [View all]Deminpenn
(16,435 posts)After Jan 6th, they went all in on the fearmongering (Democracy) model that FoxNews uses. Nicolle Wallace literally did the same show daily for the last 4 years. All the other prime time shows did the same for the most part. Only O'Donnell stayed mostly out of that trap. Had they focused on what Biden was actually doing and had accomplished, Dems would've been better able to counter the FoxNews lies and propaganda with facts and unbiased data. If they'd have had more guests like the oil trader Hayes had on who explained how Biden had basically broken OPEC and stabilized the oil markets, MSNBC would've been much more interesting to watch,
On top of that, MSNBC kept telling viewers what they thought viewers wanted to hear. Dems, imo, are capable of critical thinking. Less preaching to the choir and more real, informed discussion of the issues was needed.
I haven't watched any MSNBC since the election because I know it will just be 4 more years of Trump-centric programming even though it will be criticizing Trump. I'm just not interested in watching that.
