Abdikerm Eidleh, considered the alleged second-in-command to the scandal’s ringleader, Aimee Bock, landed at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Thursday afternoon. He was taken into custody in Somalia late last month.

He’s believed to have fled the country roughly two months before the initial search warrants were served at several sites associated with Feeding Our Future.

“Abdikerm Eidleh is second only to Aimee Bock in the Feeding Our Future fraud scheme. His capture and transfer back to Minnesota show how far the arm of American law enforcement can reach, and that you can run, but you cannot hide,” said United States Attorney Daniel N. Rosen. Eidleh, 42, is accused of controlling shell companies related to Feeding Our Future. According to court records, he was responsible for recruiting new sites, and then solicited and received kickbacks.

He’s also accused of creating fraudulent food sites and using shell companies to pose as meal vendors for the sites. Prosecutors say he falsely claimed to serve meals to thousands of children per day.
