44. I confess, I didn't have time to read the article. So I was pretty much joking, sorta.

The headline had me chuckling. We see articles like this from time to time.
And I don't know if what they're saying is a coincidence or a trend.

So, if we're gonna have manly-men, make them hot too.
Will hot translate into electablility?

Too bad Bollywood actor John Abraham isn't available.

He lives in the wrong country.

Odds are, he will go into politics in India. Lots of celebs in India go into politics.

ETA: I read the article. The article references Johnny Garcia. I am familiar with the race. Johnny Garcia ran against John Lira and Maureen Galindo in the primary. Maureen was that flaky sex therapist, anti-sematism candidate, who received national attention.

I'm surprised John Lira didn't do that in the primary, but it is what it is. It is a fairly conservative district. I think Johnny Garcia has a better chance than John Lira. John Lira's a great guy, but not a very good campaigner. I don't think there was any effort to put a "manly man" in there. Johnny Garcia worked for the sheriff's dept. Our sheriff is popular here. A good chunk of this new district was formally Henry Cuellar's district. It's red leaning.
