I don't see why there isn't a sense of urgency in this country to find an alternative to statins. My husband got on them because his cholesterol levels were high, probably due to genetics, and his doctor convinced him that it was the easy fix. He said something like, you will put less stress on your heart and you can eat anything you want.

But now we're finding out that it's a ticking time bomb.
