The comparison to Churchill is spot on. Churchill did a number of innovative things to keep Germany out of England long enough for the US to join the war. But the most important thing Churchill did was keep his country's spirits up. He led with his chin out and a smile on his face.

Similarly, Zelenskyy has kept his country's spirits up. And he has found innovative ways to combat Russia, almost like Churchill, until others decide to join the war.

I think in some ways, Ukraine is a world war. The world isn't engaged in combat, but the world is engaged. Very engaged. And the staked are high. But the battle of positioning and strategy has replaced the battle of attrition. But that could change on a moments notice.
