It is tiresome to see awful, or even just middling, people lauded to the skies or overhyped just because they develop an adversarial relationship with the worst person on earth. (This is not directed at the OP, but at the general news coverage of Meloni lately)

We don't need to be exultant over, or even acknowledge, every blind squirrel who finds a nut.
