32. Let me set this up:

It's March, 2027. Democrats control and the House and the Senate.

Rep. Jamie Raskin has drawn up yet another series of Articles of Impeachment. (He has about 45.)

The House has voted to impeach (again) Donald J. Trump.

The Senate has had its trial. John Roberts, presiding, looks somewhere between very uncomfortable and constipated.

And look! So do some of the Republican members of the Senate.

Late, late at night, the Senate votes to convict and to remove Trump from the office of the presidency.

After his last transmittal of a Truth Social post at 4:30 a.m., Donald Trump retires.

And he doesn't wake up. He knows about the conviction. He faces untold humiliation and possible criminal indictments and convictions. He might go to jail.

He wills himself not to wake up. His heart just stops. How convenient.

Call me a romantic, old-fashioned, sentimental fool.
