Why Trump is "surrendering" to the Iranian regime? [View all]

From what we know of Trump's history of the last ten years, it is likely one of two possibilities.

First, it is so important that he and the Republicans win the midterm elections, that they cannot afford to have high gas prices and inflation determining the outcome of the election. It is better to surrender to Iran than to gamble on losing power, and possibly facing some sort of accountability.

Or, it is Trump following the orders of his boss, Vladimir Putin. Putin is an ally and is protective of Iran and their leaders. It is possible that he ordered Trump to make a deal. That is a possibility, in my opinion.

But, whatever the reason, many Republicans are calling it a "surrender".

Is there a strategy behind this Memorandum of Understanding?

How could the world's greatest "dealmaker" make such a terrible deal?
