And hydrogen peroxide will do nothing but harm the wildlife.

No, that level of peroxide won't, but the few gallons poured in also won't kill algae.

An Ozone Infusion Pump can clear lakes and will not harm waterfoul. If done right, it will protect them from pathogens.
