No deed means no proof that you own your home and property.

Israel treats Lebanon as the West Bank and Gaza:
1) We went to war and conquered land.
2) Because we conquered certain land, we claim it as Sovereign Israel. (See Six Day War)
3) Unless you can prove that you owned and possessed said conquered land pre-war, it's ours.
4) No deed or your deed was destroyed? Too bad. That land doesn't belong to you or anyone else, but to Israel.
5) Israel now determines the laws, where you live, where you don't live. You can be evicted from your home and home of your family. Irrelevant that your family lived on the land for decades, maybe more than a century.
6) No deed, no claim to ownership.
