18. DC thunderstorm forecasts have always been wildly unpredictable

Sunday

Lived in the DC area for 70+ years. Storms can move quickly, hit areas with varying degrees of strength or miss them completely. Moreover, private forecasters like Accuweather, weather channel, capitalweather.com don't rely solely on NWS and/or NOAA data.
