My crappy AC [View all]

So in March 2025 my 28 year old heater broke (gas). I decided I was going to electrify and take advantage of my solar panels.... So I replaced the AC unit (never had a problem....ever) with a Bosch IDS inverter heat pump. The first time I fired it up last year it flooded the house because the condensate system was not set up properly. The installer also did not measure well enough and the closet it sits in will now not shut. I've learned to live with the doors partly ajar.... Although they said they would reinstall it at some point so it could shut. Turned on the AC 2 days ago and it was fine.... Yesterday it was hot AF and the outdoor unit quit working. The company came today and checked it out and said the motherboard is bad. So several more days of heat and humidity until the part arrives. The technician said everything is made in China these days and is garbage. So yay me trying to conserve energy 🎉🎉
