And we, the tax payers, will be on the hook for the cost. We should do like FDR did with the CCC to provide labor to restore the monuments without the huge cost. Also, that monstrosity gold leafed bronze statue has got to be cleaned off. That’s an affront to the artist and the people who commissioned the the work
