CNN's Kaitlan Collins Theorizes That Trump Keeps Insulting Her Because 'He Doesn't Like My Questions' [View all]

Kaitlan Collins is responding to President Donald Trump's fierce criticism of her questioning.

In an April interview with Interview Magazine published on Wednesday, June 10, New York Times White House correspondent Shawn McCreesh asked Collins, 34, if she thinks Trump is particularly harsh on female reporters. Collins, CNN's chief White House correspondent, has been the subject of many of the president's recent tirades.

"I think it's because he doesn't like my questions in the briefing room. I don't think it's a personal reflection," Collins told McCreesh. "I do think that this term, people have started to notice the difference in his reaction when women like Mary Bruce or Nancy Cordes are doing the questioning."

"When I asked him about [Jeffrey] Epstein in the Oval Office, he said, 'In the 10 years you've covered me, I've never seen you smile,' " she continued, referring to a Feb. 3 incident in the Oval Office. "He wasn't even really listening to the question."
