Jackie Allemany on MSNOW just had a story in which she quoted R politicians as writing off trump's statement about loving the inflation and other "gaffes" as just trump being trump. They do not expect him to stay on message. The focus is not on what he says but just that he's out there campaigning.

So basically, if trump is "out there" it doesn't matter what he says or does. Because he's so cool and they just want to breathe the same air as him.

I don't know about you guys, but I think they should go with that. Tie yourself to him until you can't escape and endorse everything he says until the midterms.
