We know that's what they want to do. It's what they always want to do. But this crew in the White House has shown they are willing to circumvent any Constitutional impediments and institutional norms that might have previously prevented them from going around Congress, and it's pretty clear none of them care much about public opinion anymore. They believe they can snow their own voters into destroying themselves as long as they own the libs, and even if they can't, they see this as their one chance to obtain their most extreme goals. They may never see another dimwit like Trump, willing to do whatever these nuts want him to do.

I don't think that will work as well as they might think it will, but they can do plenty of damage just by degrading the systems themselves. Just look what they're doing to Medicaid. I doubt it will ever be the same.

Now is the time to make their move.
