working as a Russian language linguist and analyst, and stationed at a tiny little base on the Black Sea in Turkey. The Liberty had relevance to the mission I worked on, as well. Somewhat later, the Pueblo was captured. I have even less information about that, even though it was also relevant.

More than that I cannot say. Both were very bad days, though.

I was contacted several years later by someone in Israel, who "had questions for me about the Liberty." What he got, instead, was me reporting to another agency about the contact. I never heard any more from anyone about that.

I know very little of the details of any of the Liberty story, other than what was reported. I did not have a "need to know" so I did not get information.
