1. Give Israel a free hand to attack Hezbollah in Beirut and the Bekaa Valley, and ethnic cleanse Shiite towns within 30 km of the border. They plan to create a buffer zone that will "protect" N. Israel.
2. Decimate Iran's military capacity and its ability to arm its proxy militias (Hezbollah).
3. Remove Iran's senior leaders to force a capitulation on their nuclear weapons program.

However, Trump is an idiot. Only Israel is getting what it wants (and it won't get everything it wants).

Iran expanded the war to "involve the entire Middle East" as defensive strategy. Escalate the cost, complicate the resolution.
