We can joke about Dementia Don, but today, I am not laughing. I could go to any nursing home and get a more coherent conversation with nearly any dementia patient sitting in a wheelchair in the hallway. Welker could have used "meteorological interference" as an excuse. The rain was serious enough at several points during the interview for that to be a concern. It was hard to hear over the storm and possibly hazardous for anyone in the area who tried to venture out.

Joe was crucified for much less.

For once, I am not criticizing or despising trump. Let us just say that I am angry at our media and at trump's advisors. This is a serious health concern for him and a danger for our country. We really do need the 25th amendment here.

For example, I am 77 and my husband is 81. We are politically active and often out and about for events. I had a role in three current and a couple of upcoming events for our area Democrats. It is especially busy for us right now because of the upcoming midterm elections. We pick and choose our activities simply because we could be endangering our health if we are careless. We would be showing a lack of responsibility to our local committees as well by being unreliable.

We have to take care of ourselves and each other.

I have a meeting with a group today. We are all activists, much like Indivisible. We work with them, with the county Democratic organizations and others who need our support. Since so many of us are older, I am going to get this on the agenda. I am more worried than usual.
