The Trump/Welker interview, and what it tells me. [View all]
I woke up thinking about this today. I think that interview really got under my skin and upset me.
There was a portion of that interview where Ms. Welker tried to steer him in a different direction while he was off on an angry rant. I just woke up and don't have it in me to look for the video, but you probably know what I mean. She tried to distract him like you would distract a child who is having a temper tantrum in a grocery store.
She tried to appease him. Look over there, Mr. president...squirrel!
Again, like you would with a toddler.
It really hit home for me when I noticed this brief moment in the interview.
He's the president, and he's on TV, and he had absolutely no self-control in spite of this.
He tries to instill fear into people, particularly women.
He presents as a person who would easily murder someone if he could get away with it. In fact, he has had people killed, only he's had them killed via the hands of others and via policy. If there were no restraints at all on him, he would kill with his own hands.
All of this got me thinking...
If he could act like this, as the president of the United States, exposed and on TV, how do you think he treated the women and girls he abused, under the cover of a safe environment where he was not exposed?
How bad did he treat these women? These girls?
I can't imagine, and it makes me shiver to think of it.
"He's a monster" is no exaggeration.
