fingers crossed that they are able to stop that insanity

my uh-oh moment was when i read:

The lawsuit argues the fund violates the 14th Amendment's explicit prohibition on using federal money to "pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States." It also contends the Justice Department had no legal authority to create the fund in the first place.

but it wasn't an insurrection or rebellion against the united states. IT WAS A FUCKING PICNIC. A DAY WHEN A GROUP OF TOURISTS GATHERED TOGETHER TO ~~KILL MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AND THE VICE PRESIDENT~~ TOUR THE CAPITOL IN PEACE AND LOVE

and

the justice dept. will say of course it had legal authority to create the fund because donald told them to.
