7. The ground floor of my apt complex has a few businesses.

Tuesday

There's a beauty salon, a very small (and overpriced) mini grocery, and a small, mostly takeout restaurant with a couple small tables.

The diner used to be operated by Columbians, with Columbian food. They closed down and left last summer. A Puerto Rican family has taken it over.

The Chinese restaurant in my small city has been closed and boarded up since last summer. There used to be a couple Mexican restaurants in town. They are all closed.

It's as if immigrants have disappeared. I don't know if they got picked up or if they left to avoid being harrassed or arrested. AFAIK, they were all legal residents, but even legal immigrants are not safe.
