For those who are familiar, that means something specific in programs like Al-Anon. Basically, the need to separate from an alcoholic or addict in order to preserve one's own wellbeing.

Susie Wiles had it right on one thing--Trump very much behaves like an alcoholic, even though he says he doesn't drink (I believe he's on other drugs, but that's another story).
