With about 147 million ounces of gold stored there, what's to stop Trump from removing some or all of it under an executive order to relocate it to the basement bathroom at Mara Lago, then to a secret offshore vault in the Cayman Islands? His Treasury lackey, Scott Bessent, would say yes sir. Trump loves gold and would like to see himself as a real life Goldfinger. And such a heist would make him the richest man in the world.
