3. Continue to generally make poor rulings in the short term

They definitely won't resign before the end of the current term in June. As others have speculated due to scheduling a book release for October, Alito is a decent bet to retire.

I think Thomas is less likely to leave before he sets the longevity record which would be in August 2028. I think he wants that to kind of give himself a legacy since he's convinced everyone thinks he's bad because of affirmative action. Granted he's bad, but that's because he's an idiot with not because of affirmative action.
