fantastic town services, a beautiful town park with several pools, tennis and pickle ball courts, playing fields, trails, ice skating rink in winter, etc. Great senior services, streets and sidewalks that are plowed immediately, a fantastic library, etc, etc, etc. Our homes are worth considerably more than surrounding communities and sell in a matter of days when they come on the market - because everyone wants to live here. We don’t have any land to build here anymore (and our town is buying the green space that is left to preserve it.)

Our school budget is never voted down because we know how important it is irt our property values.

My H worked for NYS Division of Budget for years and attended many conferences of budget leaders from all the other states. He would hear constantly how frustrated they were because they had no money to implement state wide programs and services that would benefit their citizens. He heard a lot of “I wish we could do that.”

I wouldn’t live in a low tax state if you paid me.
