I talked with someone in Congress yesterday who knows both Platner and Mills.
Said member of Congress would be a LOT more comfortable with Mills as both candidate and Senator. The Congressperson also told me (my apologies if this is common knowledge, but I was not aware) that Platners just an oyster farmer routine is misleading, and that he comes from a wealthy family who bought him the oyster farm. He doesnt rub me the right way, so being told this didnt change my preference in the Maine Senate primary.
