Isn't it disturbing that a US president doesn't think they will make it to heaven? [View all]

This quote from Trump saying that he doesn't think he'll make it to heaven is bouncing around today:



I think it's disturbing that he claims to be a Christian and doesn't think he's going to make it. He would know WHY he thinks he's not going to make it. It could lead him to act in traditionally immoral ways. Just for comparison, he said that he no longer had to think "purely of peace" after not winning the Nobel peace prize.

It doesn't matter what the rest of us think about religion. If he claims to be a believer and thinks his entry into heaven is a lost cause, then that makes it more likely for him to perform outrageous acts like he did today.
