Those no tax on tips would be eaten up by gas, wear and tear on her vehicle, higher insurance cost.
Also she is in a right to work state. Credit card tips can be used as part of the minimum wage so employers can pay you less than minimum wage. Not sure if it applies to gig workers but is used in the restaurant industry in many right to work states.

Door dash works well for my grandson while in school. He makes most of his money working nights. I doubt she does much night driving or can make as many deliveries per hour as a younger person.
