to bring the person you built up to be a demigod back down to human level.

I Imagine it would be somewhat like a junkie buying what he's told is the best heroin in the world, then having it turn out to be nothing but corn starch. Complete buzz-kill.

Maybe that's not the best representation of the situation, but Trump is their drug of choice, and having that drug turn out to be complete garbage, and knowing you've been scammed.......well, that's tough for them to face up to.

Trump himself is having a personal re-entry moment, but for him I wish nothing but the worst withdrawal symptoms possible.

I only wish republicans would demand their brains and spines be returned, and then set the orange shithead adrft at 60° south latitude in a cheap toy plastic raft. 😁
