Thought experiment: Suppose one or more NATO members escort their merchant vessels through the strait with their own naval vessels. Trump gives the U.S. Navy the order to board/sink any or all of those ships running his blockade. You are in command of a U.S. naval vessel. What do you do?

Now, change NATO to China. What do you do?
