10. Rightward shift in Israeli politics

It’s been going on for decades. I think there was a brief moment prior to 10/07 when Bibi overstepped with his judicial overhaul.

Then the attacks happened and he consolidated support and the general attitude decisively rejected any kind of two state solution. The country has since moved toward revenge against all other enemies in the region (first Hezbollah, then it’s sponsor Iran). Bibi found a useful idiot in Trump. It all aligned perfectly for him. It has also kept him out of prison. 10/07 saved his ass.
