This young woman has a pretty exemplary background. You can read it here in the Deferred Adjudication filed by her attorney.

Prior to Epstein's death, she had been working double and triple shifts due to understaffing at the prison. Her grandfather died and she took care of his estate, and she also had a workplace fall. Any of these events could have explained the payment.
