Iraq, ISIS, and Iran [View all]

ISIS formed in Iraq not only from Islamic extremists, but was staffed by former Baath people- those people were religious moderates (some even Sufis).

Iran's leaders and commanders are already more religious than Iraq's were. What this war is going to do is refine the extremism in Iran and they will seek apocalyptic solutions to their problems. The Strait of Hormuz is going to be a problem for a long while, and this is going to gut the world economy.
