Maerkwayne Mullin is an enrolled member of the Cherokee nation. Trump would look pretty silly if he tried to accuse Mullin of being a fake Cherokee.

Fun fact: Oklahoma has one of the highest concentrations of Native Americans in the U.S., with approximately 16% of its population identifying as Native American. That's because the Oklahoma Territory (known as Indian Territory at the time) is where most of the southeastern tribes were forcibly relocated under Pres. Andrew Jackson (Trump's favorite president, btw) during the 1830s. There are 38 federally recognized tribal nations headquartered in Oklahoma, and the Cherokee Nation is the largest! with over 300,000 citizens.
