I think Crockett's tweet was appropriate and needed to unite the party. Looking at the numbers, it is very likely that even had there been no problems, Talarico would have won.
It was early morning when the election was called by the AP. I suspect it was after the first batch of election day voting came in from Harris. Although the percent in went from around 60 to around 70, her net margin in the NYT details went from 8 percent to 5 percent. Mathematically, that meant Talarico actually won that batch! Crockett needed to be stronger in the election day votes in Dallas and Harris. She was actually weaker in both. Any Dallas Democratic voter would have faced the same suppression.
I hope that Crockett with her brilliance, charisma and character finds a place to shine in January. She is amazing.
