12. Putin has always thanked Iran

There has always been a risk premium that we’ve paid for decades due to Iran. They have a continuous threat over the straights that translates to shipping premiums.

Iran literally shot tankers and threatened shipping…and oil rose $6 a barrel. Historically oil would have shot up astronomically.

Russia needs more than a few months of $8 more a barrel. If the US takes out the Navy and the shore batteries, what does that do to the risk premium on oil?

Friday oil was $72.50. Today it’s $78.5. It will likely still go higher, but how much more can Iran do that it didn’t already do, but they were severely punished for? They are being shown that any negative behavior is being neutralized 10x by the military.
