8. I was away from DU and the Internet for a few months

to gather my thoughts privately. Re-read some old books, fiction and non fiction. Got my news the old fashioned way from my radio (NPR).

The books I read were Bob Woodward's Peril, Stephen King's Dead Zone, Madeleine Albright's Fascism, a Warning, Ken Follett's Winter of the World (Hitler's rise and WWII), and Herman Wouk's Winds of War (1930s Germany and US).

Felt like I was reading US current events with only the names changed.
