A couple of those old stops. Was it Sapp Bros. in Nebraska? There were a couple old restored Stuckey's stores that had some good food out there too. There was a place on 80 in eastern Iowa, run by Amanna colony or Amish folks, east of Coralville exit. Sat out a blizzard there once.

There used to be good food stop all across the country on every route, it's where I used to eat for years.

My last trip was a lot of two-lane by choice but I had run all those routes at some point in my career. It was an interesting blast through the past.

Travel safe, friend!
