(10,981 posts)I would describe evil as the absence of empathy and morals. For example: someone who would kick an old person out of their residence, during the winter months, over rent issues that are certainly not worth someone's life.
Putting a green piece of paper over human lives. THAT is evil.
Taking someone's land and/or possessions because of a road or the like, something that is not a necessity, just that it would make a few rich people's lives a mite easier. THAT is evil.
Cheering on evil acts, and then trying to act like you had never even heard of the evil person doing them. THAT'S evil.
Sitting around in one's gold plated life while people are dying in the streets and you could do something about it. THAT is beyond evil in my book.
Desperately trying to pretend as if things in this country are doing fine, or saying that 'it isn't that bad' is pretty damned evil in my book as well.
Yes, evil exists and it is something that could be handled if we wanted to.
How widespread is it?
Look around you. It is everywhere. The rot that is 'American egotistical delusion' is out of control and perpetrating evil every day.
And, we are not exactly worried about it, either.
