ICE ruins 3 Kings Day celebration for children [View all]

I work for an elected official. Every year a local Catholic Church in an immigrant community hosted a Dia de tres Reyes celebration for local kids. During Covid, it was a drive through event. My boss dressed as one of the 3 kings a few times and gave gifts to kids in the community.
This year, there was no invitation.
Turns out it was canceled because the community was too scared that ICE would show up and take parents away from their kids.
I was in tears when I heard this. F*ck these monsters. They pervert everything Christian in the name of Christianity. It's just heartbreaking.
