He's the schmuck who buys a trophy or a medal in a pawnshop, polishes it up, then preens around bragging to people "look at me, look at me, I'm a champion, see this trophy/medal I won?"
BUT
the reflection in the metal of that trophy still shows the face of a L-O-S-E-R
