Yesterday

... falsely accusing the no-show Democrats of being spinless, or cowards, or not having the nerve to stand up to him and "look him in the eye." The complaint would continue with accusations that they failed to live up to their responsibilities and obligations to be present and represent the people who voted for them... along with other false claims that the Democrats cannot be depended upon when the going gets tough.

No... they did the right thing by attending. It's possible to respect the institution and the constitutional obligations without "respecting Trump".
